the master bedroom
And by master, I mean the one Hubby and I sleep in. Aside from that, there is nothing master about it, especially the closet. Being small, and thus, cheap and easy to decorate, this is the first room in the new house that got a serious style adjustment. I wish I had a before picture of the bright baby blue walls the previous owners had employed, but no such luck.
My inspiration came from this old IKEA catalog photo {which you'll recognize from this post}. Lucky for me, the grayish hue I chose for the living room looked completely cold and harsh on those walls. Hubby refused to let the paint go to waste, so I had him paint the bedroom walls since no one would see them anyway. But in the end the bright light and white furniture in the bedroom really brought the color to life.
